How to use The 3905 Century Club, Inc.
DX QSL BUREAU

Our 3905 CCN DX Bureau is fully operational and the Bureau Manager - Ron Kaufman, N9KNJ is ready for business.  The way the Bureau will operate is simple and for the most part can be transparent to the members that use the other two Bureaus - W5IL and WM9H.

If you work a DX station, as defined under Century Club rules, you can simply send your QSL card for that contact to either the W5IL or WM9H Bureau, whichever is appropriate for the net you made the contact on.

The DX Bureau (N9KNJ) has envelopes in both of those Bureaus and when a DX card comes in, those Bureau Managers will send it on to Ron. There are a couple exceptions and we'll get to them in a minute.

Once Ron receives the QSL card for the DX contact he will contact that DX station or, if already established, complete a return QSL card from the DX station and send it back to you through the appropriate Bureau. Ron will see to getting your card to the DX station.

If you wish to get your hands on the DX card sooner, you can send your card for the DX contact directly to Ron however he will send it back to you through one of the other Bureaus unless you include an SASE with your card.

You do NOT need to keep envelopes on file with the DX Bureau.

Now all DX stations have the option in front of them to either maintain envelopes in the W5IL or WM9H Bureaus or they can use the DX Bureau service. DX stations and DX members should contact N9KNJ directly as to their choice of arrangements.

Now the exception. A few DX stations already have identified a QSL Manager in the states and some use Richard W5IL. That routing and service will not change unless either the individual QSL Manager or DX station makes the change. For example, if someone wishes to continue to serve as the QSL Manager for some DX stations, nothing will change from how it works now.

The long and short of it is that this is largely a transparent service and doesn't really require you to do anything different unless you chose to. Our goal is to make it easier for DX stations to work our nets and at the same time make sure our members get the responding QSL cards as quickly as possible.

This service is good for DX contacts made after December 31st, 2002 forward.
